Privacy Policy

This is the short version, because there is not much to tell. We collect the minimum, we use it for the one thing you gave it to us for, and we do not share it.

Who we are

Infinite Accountant is operated by Jack Ross Limited, Barnfield House, The Approach, Blackfriars Road, Salford, Manchester, M3 7BX. For anything in this policy, write to umar@jackross.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

  • If you request access: your name, firm, email, phone if you choose to give it, your reason for asking, and the network address the request came from. We use these to vet and answer your request, and for nothing else.
  • If you ask for the ebook: your name, email, and firm if you give it. We use these to send you the book. If the page address carried campaign tags when you arrived, we record those too, so we know which of our writing brought you here.
  • If you hold an access PIN: sign-in attempts are logged for security (time, network address, browser, and the last digits of the PIN used). These logs delete themselves after 12 months.
  • If your firm uploads a trial file: the file is encrypted the moment it arrives, with a key this website does not hold, and is governed in full by the trial Data Processing Agreement.

What we do not do

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, no mailing lists, and no sharing or selling of your details. The one cookie this site sets is the session cookie that keeps PIN holders signed in, and it expires after thirty minutes. Some pages load fonts from Google’s servers; when your browser fetches them, Google receives your network address, as with any font service.

Where it lives, and for how long

Form submissions and security logs sit in this website’s database, hosted by Hostinger. Access requests are kept while your request is live and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer follow-ups; ask and we will delete them sooner. Security logs purge automatically after 12 months. Trial files follow the retention and deletion terms in the Data Processing Agreement.

Your rights

UK GDPR gives you the right to see what we hold about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted. Email umar@jackross.co.uk and it will be dealt with personally. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
